Hi, my name is Victoria. I am so thankful that you are interested in pursuing counseling. Our mental health is of utmost importance, yet taking this step can be unnerving. However, counseling can also be very rewarding. In my sessions, I will always take a non-judgmental approach. I am here to listen to you, not impose my opinions. It is a joy and a privilege to walk alongside you as we navigate through life. I would be happy to incorporate faith into our sessions if that is important to you. My primary goal is to assist in the best way for you.
How I Help
My first priority is for you to feel safe and heard. I take a person-centered approach to all counseling sessions. This includes accepting you as you are and where you are. It also means that we will work to navigate problems together, not alone.
I believe that every person is uniquely made and that includes having a unique story. As a counselor, I strive to use different counseling approaches based on what would be the most beneficial for you, as we navigate through your story together.
My Specialties
Anxiety/Depression
Anxiety can often feel like a constant sense of worry, restlessness, or fear that’s hard to control, while depression may bring feelings of sadness, hopelessness, or loss of motivation. Both can make daily life feel overwhelming and isolating. As a counselor, my goal is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can begin to understand the roots of their distress and develop healthy ways to manage it.
Couples/Relationships
I work with couples and individuals who are facing challenges in their relationships—whether it’s communication struggles, trust issues, conflict, or emotional distance. I believe every relationship has the potential for growth and healing when both partners are willing to engage with honesty and care. My goal is to guide couples toward deeper understanding, stronger connection, and renewed hope in their relationship.
DBT - Dialectical Behavior Therapy
DBT is a skills-based approach that combines acceptance and change—it helps clients learn to tolerate distress, regulate emotions, be more present in the moment, and communicate effectively with others. I enjoy working with DBT, as I find it provides the practical coping skills that many of us seek.
More About Me
I graduated from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary with a MA in Clinical Counseling. This means I can offer an integration of both Christianity and psychology in our sessions if that is something that would be helpful for you!
In my free time, I serve at a local church and love playing the drums, listening to music, shopping, or trying new coffee! Currently, I am trying out golf!
