My name is Christine Johnson, and I believe each client carries a unique story that is
worthy of being heard, honored, and held with understanding and compassion as we
work together toward healing. I completed my Masters in Clinical Mental Health
Counseling at Tennessee Technological University and developed a strong foundation in
working with trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, and life changes. It is a privilege to be
entrusted with your story and to journey alongside you as you navigate the challenges,
growth, and uncertainty that come with becoming.
How I Help
My offering is to create a safe and supportive space where you are met where you are. I
take a holistic approach to counseling, recognizing the importance of seeing and
understanding you as a whole person. As your counselor, it is important to me to
understand your individual needs, experiences, and goals so that we can find an
approach that feels supportive and meaningful to you.
My Specialties
Trauma
Trauma can make circumstances feel hopeless and can confuse and complicate your
internal compass. Together, we can explore relational patterns and the ways trauma has
shaped your experiences, gently untangling its webs and creating space for healing and
hope.
Couples
When two individual people come together, there can be so much beauty, as well as
misunderstanding and hurt. Relationships can bring both joy and challenges, and I am
here to help you navigate those challenges together as a team. By learning to attune to
one another, understand the patterns within your relationship, and create space for
healing, you can move toward deeper connection and understanding with one another.
I have also completed Gottman 1 & 2 training which informs and guides my approach to
couples counseling.
Depression/Anxiety
Depression and anxiety can feel like an all-too-familiar friend, creating deep feelings of
hopelessness, heaviness, and being stuck. Together, we can walk through this process
step by step in a way that honors your valid feelings while also exploring the core
beliefs, patterns, and emotions that may be shaping your experience. Through
developing greater understanding and drawing on resources that support you, we can
begin to create space to live more freely and feel less tethered to the weight of
depression and anxiety.
More About Me
My approach is rooted in holistic healing, recognizing the interconnectedness of the
mind and body and the ways each can influence our overall well-being.
To refill my cup I enjoy reading, exploring new towns (and coffee shops), or picking up a
creative project like crocheting.
