MA, LMFTA
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate
Hi! I’m Macie and I received my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Converse University. I have experience with several modalities including families, individuals, and couples. Some areas of experience that I have are depression, anxiety, grief, PTSD, infidelity, life transitions incorporating evidence based treatments.
How I Help
My approach to therapy is collaborative, client-centered, and grounded in systemic thinking. I believe that meaningful change happens within a safe, supportive relationship where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. I draw from Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs and goals. Together, we explore patterns, strengths, and meaning while also identifying practical strategies for change and emotional growth. I strive to meet clients where they are and support them in developing insight, strengthening relationships, and creating lasting, values-based change at a pace that feels right for them.
My Specialties
Couples
Relationships can bring both deep connections and unique challenges as two people learn to navigate life together. Whether you are newly together or have shared many years, I am here to support you in turning toward one another and strengthening your emotional bond. Relational health is a vital part of overall wellbeing, and I aim to help couples build greater understanding, connection, and resilience in their relationship.
Anxiety/Depression
Anxiety and depression can make even simple tasks feel overwhelming and leave you feeling disconnected from yourself and others. Together, we will explore the underlying factors contributing to your distress, deepen emotional understanding, and develop practical tools to help you feel more grounded, balanced, and empowered in your daily life.
Trauma/PTSD
Healing from trauma is possible. I work with individuals who have experienced difficult or overwhelming life events and are struggling with symptoms such as anxiety, fear, emotional distress, or feeling stuck in the past. Together, we will create a safe and supportive space to process your experiences, build resilience, and move toward greater healing and hope.
Infidelity/Relationship Betrayal
Discovering or experiencing infidelity can be deeply painful and can leave you feeling hurt, confused, and uncertain about the future of your relationship. Whether you are seeking healing individually or as a couple, I provide a supportive space to process the impact of betrayal, rebuild trust, strengthen communication, and explore a path forward with clarity and hope.
More About Me
Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with friends and family. I like staying active by trying workout classes, going on long walks, and exploring new coffee shops. I’m also a foodie and love discovering new restaurants and trying different types of cuisine. Lately, I’ve been learning to play pickleball—still working on my skills, but having fun figuring it out along the way.
