Rachael Carmen
Intern
Hello, I’m Rachael. Your story matters. You have arrived at this point in your life through a series of circumstances, some joyous and others not so much. Life can be messy, and often it is difficult to know how to move forward. I consider it a privilege to walk alongside you as you navigate your unique circumstances, offering a space where you can feel supported and understood.
How I Help
In session, I will endeavor to create a place where you feel seen and heard, safe, unrushed, and relaxed. A place where you can share your story at your pace, where you can participate and engage as you feel comfortable. A place where you can set goals and explore possibilities. A place where hope can be found and fostered.I am currently receiving additional training in Dr. Daniel Siegel's work in interpersonal neurobiology to deepen my understanding of trauma and the brain-body connection. I am interested in incorporating expressive arts and sand tray therapy when they fit your needs, as these approaches offer meaningful ways to process emotions and experiences that may be difficult to express in words.
My Specialties
I am pursuing a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Colorado Christian University. As I complete my training, I am interested in helping individuals, teens, and adults who might be struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship struggles.
More About Me
I love spending time with my husband and our family. Studying God’s word and considering its truths are important to me. I enjoy reading, being in nature wherever that is- in the mountains, in the woods, or by the seaside. I also enjoy gardening, riding my bike, and savoring dark chocolate.
